I threw away 25 customers
from bookstore in 10 seconds

Our task
New internet bookstore Mingle.sk introduced a marketing campaign for whole Slovakia. Plat4M's task, besides the creation of billboards, citylights, radio spots and commercials, was to create an online game as well. Target of the game was to entertain people and to show them the advantages of shopping on the Internet and to inform them about a new internet bookstore.
Open Christmas Bookstore (slovak version)Client
Mingle.sk is a new internet bookstore offering its customers new book releases with huge discounts, simple, comfortable and safe shopping. On Mingle.sk you can find nearly 80.000 book items with the highest number of books on stock from all internet bookstores. Digital agency Plat4M is AOR (Agency of Record) for Mingle.sk.
Target group
Men and women between 18 and 35, regular users of the Internet, who like having fun on the Internet. Important for us were Facebook account owners, which can help us to share Christmas bookstore via their profiles.

Facebook sharing
Although the game was released only for a short period of time, it was able to spread without any paid adverts. During 3 weeks of its existence it was shared nearly 1.000 times on Facebook. And it continues.
Creative idea and design concept
The main idea of the game was to imitate normal over-crowded bookstores, where the goal is to fire nervous customers in the shortest possible time. The game illustrates the so well known hectic pre-Christmas time. The customers make funny noises as well as they randomly lean while moving. The design of the game has Christmas atmosphere, which is represented by a beautiful Christmas tree or a Santa's hat, as well as pleasant Christmas music after completing the game.
Best time
Best time, which was achieved without cheating, was 10,161 second. The winner besides getting the first prize also became the quickest Christmas bouncer.
Average time spent on the website
Visitors were not in hurry to leave the website. Average time spent on the website was 8 minutes and 14 seconds. In comparison with average time spent on websites globally, which is 50 seconds, it is a quite qood result. After the end of the competition some visitors admitted that they played the game more than 100 times.
Technical solution
The website was created by combination of various technologies, but because of shortage of time, we decided to program the game in Adobe Flash with our partners Kreativa Studio. Although this technology is not accessible on devices such as iPhone, Ipad or other smartphones, the best times were recorded on tablets, what came as a big suprise to us.
Help from professional players
As our budget did not allow us to use the goverment documents' protection, the results had to be verified by other methods. Besides the verification by our programmers, we called upon professional players, who showed us what times are really possible to achieve, when someone has a very clever hand.
